I second that coconut grove option was here two weeks ago by bit it was real nice

Coconut grove is great, the boating is fantastic, but I would recommend you get a passport and run to bimini. It's only 45 miles and it's a whiole bother world there .

Did you get any input from your wife ?

We took the boat on vaca with us last winter and stayed at the Hilton in Ft. Lauderdale. They had boat slips at the hotel. And, it is close to the inlet so the run through the ICW was pretty short to get outside. Just another option.
