Hein-Werner Bumper Jack
Hey guys I just purchased an old Hein Werner bumper jack and I want to make a drive installer out of it. But my question is how do I check jack oil level in this darn thing. Its air over hydraulic and I see the fill plug at the top of the jack. But no other plug to check fluid level. There is a small plug, like a block drain plug, on the air valve assembly but that cant be for oil? No dip stick or anything. I looked all over online and cant find anything about this issue.
Thanks Anthony |
I can't help without a picture. All hydroic jacks have to be filled in the down position. Hope that helps.

Most jacks get filled to the plug while in the lowest position.
You'll probably want to put a regulator on it. When going up, they start slow then GO. |

Here is the jack. Oil fill on top and no other plugs on the jack. Looked in thru plug and oil is down about two feet. But jack works fine. I can't see filling this whole cylinder with oil.
