Let's see...
I've been chasing a water delivery problem since about 3 months in to owning this boat. (see http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/d...tml?highlight=)

So I went through 2 or 3 sets of sea pump assemblies this year, as I was trying to track that down.

Finally had enough of that and called Eddie Young (and engines were due for 250 hour service). According to his tear down analysis...
- all head gaskets starting to push out
- 1 rocker arm getting loose at the fulcrum
- 1 exhaust valve spring broken
- 1 block full of mud/crud
- 1 circ pump locked up (not sure if that happened before teardown or after)

So he's done full head rebuild and swapping to roller cam. He should be firing them up today and tuning the ECUs.

It's a big investment on a 2 year old boat (to me), but at 260 hours on 575's, looks like we got lucky - cause they were running really strong on the last run! ...but they usually do right before they blow up right??

Fuel pump, water pump (replaced x2) kill switch connectors and bilge pump crapped the bed while in Buffalo running in big swells during a storm front... Bilge filling with each breaking wave. lol

Were they Manley valves? If so I believe they had a bad batch of valves with a hardening issue. You may be able to get some compensation from Manley.

Impellars and finally figured out my intermittent flooding on start issue was due to a weak msd box so I replaced both and put the good one on the shelf as a spare since they are near impossible to find locally on the weekend

Pushed a head gasket out and torched a head last run of the season. Yanked all three motors and am bumping them up to 548ci with all components coming from Bob Madera/Marine Kinetics. Should have three 675+ hp bullets ready to go back in in the spring.

Just a possible oil thremostat problem, that I have to do a test run after Thanksgiving. Ran the 388 ONCE this year, and the Hydrostream is just sitting also. Talon is getting all the use this year.....
