Thanks guys for all the info and history, I've been out of the game for quite a spell but it's time to get back in. They're a few Cigarette's that I've been looking at. So if you know of any 86/90 flat decks (Cigarette's only) point them to me. As for the staggered engines I'm having second thoughts I wouldn't want to ruined a good hull. Buy the way does anybody know the deal with the 38 Top Gun with no engines that's for sale in the Classifieds?

You are correct. From all 5, that was the heaviest one as it was built to race in Argentina, but never raced. I believe it weight around 14k. I've ridden that boat many many times when Carl owned it. It never hit 90mph when Carl had it. Don't kno now but both when Carl had it and with its new owner that boat has been VERY WELL taken care of. When Carl bought it back in the early 2000's it was in terrible shape as it was owned by some Bahamian guy which Lipship made the deal happen as it was the only one of the 5 as a Lipship edition. We also have 1 of 5 "90mph" model that is for sale with NO motors. Amazing boats that i times we think of keeping her. They LOVE rough water. Ours and Doug's are the lightest ones built. .

[QUOTE=glassdave; I even thought about staggering my 27 Mag W Arnesons
[/QUOTE]
Dave, You mentioned it passed your mind about staggering a 27' magnum.......I presume you ment fitting a stagger in the allowable 27 feet?.....But what if you would cut and stretch 27' and add 4'?
Just imagine a 27' hull on a roller jig - cut at the engine bulkhead roll the the 2 sections apart and glass in 4'.......now you have 31' magnum without losing cockpit space and room for a full stagger.
Okay, I didn't take the time to think of how impractical this could be or how expensive, but I've seen amazing fabrication in glass work repair. So Dave, ............what do you figure it would cost?

I have read that the 41 white lightning was Apache mold also, not a stretched 38..... but I don't see solid evidence anywhere...yet
Hows short stagger compare to full stagger? is it worth it?
