To drain or not to drain
Hello: Happy Thanksgiving to all, Should i drain the water out of my twin 502's or just leave it in ? Fresh water boat, Boat is in a heated garage. What's best leaving it set wet or dry ? Thank you John

Nice answer, Sometimes it's the simple things that get over looked, Thank you

drain and especially for your exhaust system and especially your exhaust manifolds / risers. I always leave that portion dry (no fluids / anti freeze / water ) as if a riser gasket loses its seal or an internal crack somewhere in the exhaust manifold and or riser takes place - guess what while sitting - it is best to leave them totally dry for lay up or extended periods.

If there's any chance in hell that the storage facility in your area could see mid 20 degree temps in the event of a power outage then winterize it.

drain and winterize properly. Corrosion protection is half of the protection your after.

Drain it... And do the Port side of each block where there is no drain. Pull the hose from the water pressure barb and let it drain too. Had a Cig last year where both motors pushed out the port side freeze plugs. :(
