Default Dyno Numbers are in!!!!!

they look pretty good. Better than i was expecting!

Yes thier (very) late but at least it lives!!!! Hopefully next week i'll have an engine!!!!

Lemme hear your opinions. Are the EGTs ok??? Them seem to be kind of all over from cylinder to cylinder.

FYI this was a 454 mag but was bored .030 over, felpro gaskets, GM rect port heads, iconel exhaust valves, slightly hotter cam than the Merc SC525 cam(don't have eth part numebr on hand yet). New crank, rods, pistons, B&M174 running 5psi boost, biult by Bruce Dudley.

What do you think is out of whack? Looks like you got plenty of power to push the boat. What is the hull?

Are you going to try to make the NYC race?

very doubtful for the NYC race. The engine won't be here till mid next week. maybe if i hauled ass but I ceratinly wouldn't habe my new kplanes adn install and i don't think the bennets would hold up at 70.

I will be at the races to spectate. I believe there is space saved for me on Tony Presti's boat.

oh as for whats out of whck not out of whack but there seems to be abotu 100* difference in EGT from cylinder to cylinder. I though it would have been move even.

as for my hull its a 1987 26' scarab excel with a new 1.5 bravo. I am hoping to run in the mid 70s

Your Fuel flow agrees with the HP, as for the EGTs I do not know? The probes we used slipped into loose fitting bosses in the headers and were not on the money! But 1400 seems high !

Its been a while !

If you use a 3% factor for the difference from one E.G.temp sensor to another, because no two read exactly the same at 1400 that would be close to 40 degrees, most electronics are around 3percent unless for aircraft or space use, my opinion is spec's look great , a small blower with no intercooler
you will have a little hotter EGT remember you are turning that blower a lot faster than it's bigger brother, enjoy your new toy

i got an e-mail about " A/F ratio is way too lean after 4400 rpms "

what does everyone else think? Is it ok? I will be running 92+ octane gas (i trailer). I do think that 33* timing is a bit much too. I wasn;t goign to run that much advance

The Advance! Also consider where it comes on at, a light boat that jumps over the hump no problem.

But under a load Full advance lower RPM ranges Full throttle! Look out !A lot of Cylinder pressure. That is one difference in a Marine Distributor than a Hot rod Job!
