HELP I need a digital camera

I'm looking for a digital camera at a good price. It needs to have a US warrenty and NOT reconditioned. Any good web sites? Maybe the canon s-200 power shot?

Thanks,
Rick

digital camera's have come a long way, most current brands today give good to great results, this is one area were you get what you pay for

Check out www.pricegrabber.com and eBay.

start here..How much do you want to spend

Then do you want to make prints or stay use an on line album??

If shooting sports..get nothing less than a 10X optical zoom.. DO NOT pay attention to "digital" zoom. The key word is optical..

Nikon Coolpix 995 is the way to go for middle of the road.

I bought a good Canon and had a lot of trouble with it. Took it back and bought a Sony, no problems.

I bought a Canon S40 and am very pleased with it. Your first decision is megapixels. You need at least 3MP to make 8X10s equal to normal film.

You must be careful where you buy the camera. I got an excellent deal from Amazon.com. It's a site you can trust and they had excellent prices.

Good luck

I’ve had my Sony Cyber Shot (DSC-F707) w/ the Zeiss lens and infra red focus for about a year. So far I can honestly say it is the best camera I have ever owned. This thing focuses and takes pictures literally in the pitch black. The quality of its photos is unreal. Its pricy but, as previously stated, you get what you pay for. I haven’t picked up my Minolta 35mm since getting the Sony Digital.

I've been using an Epson camera for a while, great quality product, comes with some useful software.

Epson printers can direct connect to the camera, and at 3.x megapixels or better, you're printing your own incredible 8 x 10's. I still can't believe the quality of detail and output.

I have the Minolta Dimage S304. It was $499 and it is a 3.2 Mega Pixel, has movie mode. Easy to use. Would reccomend.
