04 Baja SSE - What to expect

Hello... I am picking up an 04 Baja 29' SSE tomorrow and was wondering what to expect for top speed. It has the 496 HO's with drive showers and K-planes.

Also looking for the draft of the boat, can't seem to locate that either.

Thanks for any comments.

You should be north of 75mph... My 33/OL will run 74 w/Ho's and "X" drives on it. Your 29 is lighter..

Thanks for the replies, I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. By the way, it will be in the low 70's this weekend in Houston !!!!!!

I may know this boat in question... It's a mag boat, the sse from what I was told was all the last 29 hulls the had left, the slapped 496 mags and bravos on them and shipped them out the door with sse stickers on it. Best I have had out of the boat is 70, previous owner said he had seen 72. Hope you like it, and look forward to meeting you today Matt. And welcome to oso!!

I had a 33 OL and best ever WOT with 496 mags was 72, so I would think you'd get about 75+. Where will you keep boat?

Hossman got 79 with his 29 with ho's, so I figured 74 would be attainable, I have just never seen north of 70 in it. I'm sure theres more left on the table prop wise I just never really had that many chances to open it up since the kiddos were with us most of the time so I just enjoyed the boat instead of shipping props off a bunch of times.

The best props I ever tried for the 33 were labbed 28 Bravos.
