Couple of questions.

What is the date of the 2015 race?

What is the distance covered in this race?

What are the classes, by speed or horsepower or length?

Will a UIM license allow a driver or throttleman to race?

Where is the pit area?

Great footage, nice to see point to point racing again.

Thanks

.

the website that's organizing this race would also be good to know...thanks in advance.

August 22nd 2015

110-120 miles

Classes are by speed 130 / 120 / 110 / 95 / 80 / 70 / 60

UIM Lisc. definitely, though membership may also be required to the TTPBA

Boats usually leave from their respective home bases but gather at the Trinidad Yacht Club

Website is www.ttpba.net but may not have been updated, but they are improving

OUCH.........That is the same weekend as the Don Aronow Memorial Around Long Island race, 271 miles of open ocean racing. August 22 - 23 2015.

Would love to come down and see your race, hopefully next year there won't be a conflict of dates.

Good luck with your race, great to see old school style racing coming back.

Poddy,

Like last year's video, I thoroughly enjoyed this latest submission... awesome job once again!!! It's a breath of fresh air to not only see something other than racing around in circles, but your video production is spectacular as well! I love the high definition eye candy, the editing, the racers account's/interviews, everything about it... job extremely well done! If offshore racing video production was routinely done this well, I dare say it's possible the general population might even begin to embrace it!

My only major constructive criticism is, I would like to see more information on the boats themselves and race/class telemetry posted occasionally throughout the video as they are talking about their positions during the race. For first time viewers, a quick overview of the classes, rules, etc might also be a nice addition.

Again, fantastic work on the 2013 and now the 2014 video! I can't tell you how much I had been looking forward to watching the 2014 race in HD on the big screen, it didn't disappoint!
