Mine is 1998, bought cheap and restored. Now it looks new, everything works incl toilet, bait wells, and new 12" Raymarine. The 250 EFIs are flawless but yes they smoke. It runs 53mph and has a huge bimini. No AC or gen. Just big batteries.

The 35 FS changed in 2003. The major differences are in the molding of the liner, more weight in the front to offset the weight of four strokes, and an anchor that pulls into the front of the hull. If you find an earlier one that has been repowered with four strokes it will ride high in the front. And they don't run well like that, add a couple of hundred pounds of chain up front and it will be lots better. I have a 2000 with 250 Yamahas. Runs 55 and cruises at 1.3-1.4 miles per gallon.

Yes that is why I am keeping the EFIs. If I repower it will be with 300 Optimaxes. Even with the lightweight EFIs it still rides high in front with only two aboard. So we keep the front seat ice chest full and problem solved. Mine has the huge bimini and I also get 55 mph when I fold it down.

Was that hull/model produced under another name back in the late 80's - early 90's ?

a Couple years ago we repowered a 35 Marlago that had 2-3liter 250 efi Offshores, we powered with 350 SCi Verados, Vesselview and all smartcraft gauges, Id have to look at the paperwork but it was definitely a couple dollars....It went from 55mph to 69mph and that was using the Offshores props, it was insane, it was really flighty in the nose so I know the Owner and his setup guy did some weight shifting, I goes even faster now that its setup right, how do I post a image?
