I hear hookers are really cheap.

Nice, that's a plus.

Now I forget, are they known for marijuana and/or cocaine ?

Might influence if I visit or not.

I for one would love to see all the old cars...

If all happens, there are some folks in Cuba who stand to make a pretty penny selling cars to American Collectors...

Makes me want to head down there now and start offering $1000 US for them...

I think you will find a bunch of rusty junk pieced together with tractor parts........remember embargo started in 1961, no American parts imported after then. What do you think they kept those old cars running with?

Besides once their people see what capitalism is like how long you think their current system will last?

The people in Cuba have no say about anything, everything is controlled by the government! The government/Castro's will benefit the most in the short run, hopefully things will get better for the people eventually!
I have a very good friend Cuban friend that stole away on a boat at the age of 14 for his freedom. He appreciates his freedom more than anyone I know.

If any money or "capitalism" starts to flow there I can guarantee it's not going to make it to the people, the ones who really need it. It's going in to the Castro family bank account. What do you think they had there before he overthrew their government and started this mess in the first place? It was a thriving tourist destination. Nothing has changed. Except now Obumber just threw away a bargaining chip we had and released a bunch of Cuban spies from American prisons today to boot.

But if any of you go, bring me back a box of cigars..

Looks like miamis population is about to grow by 500,000 or so in the next year!!!! Haha
last time I was in kw our taxi driver ( Cuban ) insisted he knew someone in the govt and this would happen very soon. We thought he was tapped.......looks like he hit the nail on the head.
Cuba. I'll pass unless I'm with a big group of people. A real big group. There's a lot of other impoverished islands with better umbrella dranks.

Exactly, they think they will be able to keep a cap on the changes. But once information starts to flow freely, their dictatorial system will fail. I would love to visit Cuba legally.

It is not up to us to determine what type of government another country has. We don't have such restrictions with other communist nations such as China or Russia. I have always heard that Cuba is a wonderful boating destination but until now you had to be Canadian(Bob The Builder) or find another way to skirt the law to go there.

Fixed it for you:drink:
