um have you been to CUBA?

The import tax there is almost 100 percent of the declared value. A typical Cuban makes 20 dollars US a week but it is all in Cuban Peso.s.

Nope never been there....just been selling replacement auto parts worldwide for approx 20 years and was responding to the prior comment about parts availability "outside he US embargo"...NOT if all Cubans could afford them..or not..

Cheers,

Dave

If Cuba fully opens for USA tourism resorts in places like Cancun and Las Vegas may find they're having a lot of empty rooms available.

Cuba isn't ready for thousands of tourists.......they simply don't have the capacity for rooms/restaurants/entertainment.......not sure Vegas is sweating Cuba's open borders! :D

To put it in perspective, I can say Bimini struggles to handle large amounts of tourists and it is 50 miles from FL and has two sizable resorts, existing restaurants and even its own airport in addition to a daily high speed ferry.

Never been to Cuba, but it is on the bucket list of places to boat to if it becomes legal, or fly to. If it was open for US travel, say as easy as Vegas, it would be a 30 minute flight out of Key West? Do they have a airport there to support the travel if we are allowed to travel there?
