Guys, I believe there is more to this motor than what you are seeing at the dragstrip.
There is not much detail about it on the website, other than them mentioning that they make the block, heads, and a bunch of other parts in house for them. That in of itself should generically tell you that they are not identical to other companies parts for this type of motor.
If i remember correctly from another article and picture a while back, the heads have a plate on the exhaust side which covers a chamber that feeds cooling water or coolant thru the exhaust port area. That in of itself tells me there is a lot of things they've done to make it more 'offshore marine' friendly than your 6-7 second drag cars.
Would like to see/here more, but I'm sure they don't want to give everything away.
Would love to hear reports of these being used 'out in the field.'

I called Todd Goodwin because, obviously with the Pure Platinum project, his name has been coming up a lot lately. Not only is he smart as hell, he's great to talk to and considering his workload he gave me much more time than I deserved. Seems like his "Forecast 2015" stuck a good chord with you guys.

What does "It's an open-cooled engine" actually mean when it comes to marine?
It is all internally coated with the proprietary coating they talked about or is it actually cooled differently?

They Goodwin was displaying at PRI show, I did stop by their booth and picked up some info, I will look at it and see if anything worth posting especially if it has not been discussed here already. I did not talk to them as they were very busy at their booth during all times of the show.
