SBI NY RACE, Who's Coming??
 

This sounds like it will be a real special event and was wondering who and how many APBA guys were willing to cross over & join in on this race. Rumor has it, this race is to get alot of MEDIA attention.

Hey guys, Marcus and I will be there! I believe I will be a turn boat on my Post.
We will be flying a big American flag off of a U.S. Navy Destroyer.
Friday night will be a NYC night with Lace plans for a bunch of OSO people.
I'd love to bring my Cigarette down but it is STILL winterised and I'm getting very used to the a/c, refrigerator, tv and burning only one quart of oil this summer :D

Dave, you want me to bring the Cigarette down for you? Shane says I'm a good driver and dad let's me drive on the driveway, yes on the driveway!!!! :p

If anyone needs any information on where to to stay or how to get around the city or needs any help, please let me know. Being a resident of the city I'm very sensitive to the need to show support for New York and will help anyone who needs help in making plans to come here for the races.

DAN how you doing?-better yet what u racing--haven't talked to todd-last i heard the big white thing was still in fla.--let me know what your racing--riding at all this summer?--i just bought a new CR250 last month--rode it yesterday along with a CRF450-the 450 is more hype than what it is--lots of power-doesn't put it to the ground well--we swapped bikes for a while and the guy wants to trade me even--no thanks---good luck with the race-maybe i'll see you there--john

I plan on coming with my wife and son. I want to bring my son to see the boats in the dry pits. What time will the boats be there on Saturday? Will they have any tents set up with venders?Is anything going on on Saturday night? What time will the race start on Sunday? We'll be driving in both days. Where is everyone watching the race from?

I will be there spectating.:D

Gary, all the boats should be there by Saturday for inspections. There aren't too many venders. Best land view is right at the tip of Liberty Landing on the big field.
I'll bring a T-shirt for your son if he would like one. We are not racing this yr. (due to two babies. one for my throttle man, one for me) but we will be back! Look for me on my 42' Post sport fish "Post Time"

Ron, I promise I will chase anything with a set of props on it till I run out of gas or motors. Also we chartered the Jabretta again for this race, need a head count so let me know if you are joinin us. We have a few more spots on the boat if anyone out there wants to join the wazzup squad.

Eddie, is that big boat going to anchor or move around? I know some people who get sick when the hook drops. Like my wife.

The boat Smitty is talking about is a 74' yacht that can hpld a bunch. Otherwise I'm not sure but last year you could buy a seat on the ferry used as a turn boat. Right?

I need to stop by this week and get me some Wazzup T-shirts for me and the Mrs to wear on race day!

Did you see NC this past Saturday? All the OPA boys and girls made the show.

So where is everyone going to be? I've been to a bunch of races and planned on meeting bunch of OSO member anmd then when i get there can only find a few. We should all plan to meet somewhere after the race.

I usually bring my handhald VHF what channel will everyone be monitoring???

The race is usually on Ch 78. I bet everyone will be roaming around the docks after the race.

I cast my vote for the official "OSO meet" channel as 69.
We will get there Sun a.m. around 9.
