The first winter I had my marina on the river we had to cut the ice up with chain saws so the boats we kept in the water wouldn't get crushed. After that we made sure the bubbler system was working and put telephone poles across the slips to keep the river ice out! The city runs that tug or a fireboat up and down the river to try and keep it from freezing over solid. |
The hills don't look as steep as they are during the Poker Run. Ha!
