It was a good day / it was a basd day.

I wanted to get to Grand Haven early to meet up with people in the river but the power went off in South Haven and my alarm clock didn't go off. So I got there late.

I saw Payton when we pulled up and parked close to him. I saw Waterfoul but it was too risky to try and raft with anyone. I spent alot of time resetting my anchor.

Other than that the races were great. We had a good day.:D

I told my girlfirend I wanted to try to make at least one race in the area.

I heard people were having problems anchoring. Was the water rough or nothing to grab hold of underneath?

I saw a lot of people having trouble getting an anchor to set.
Quiet Storm almost had a big cruiser back into his bow. He was what, 20 feet from you?

I didn't seem to have any trouble, I've got about 18' of chain on my anchor though. It is a pain to haul over the side with that chian though.

I saw a post about the Hardy races. I didn't have time to read it. I'll try to find the post for information.

The anchor I have was good for my 23' boat. Its not quite enough for the 28'. I think the bottom was sand, just not enough anchor. I'm going to try a box anchor. They sound great from a post I just read.

I thought that jerk in the cruiser was going to use me for a anchor.:mad: I'm glad he left.

I've run into a problem with cruisers also in that situation.

Hey guys, sorry I didnt get to meet you last weekend. We did get about 30 of the most beautiful perch though. Mmmmmmmm Good!

PS. Box anchors rule.

You know. I've got a box anchor too, I've never needed it. Our anchors look about the same size, I just have about 16' of 1/4' Chain attached to it.

When we approched Grand Haven and saw the sea of boats in front of us I thought how will we find anyone we know. Then Ryan said theres Payton. I asked are you sure and he said its the only Super Hawaii thats going to be out here. Your boat looked great. I was able to see it from every angle as I drifted by.

I took allot of 35 MM pictures that all turned out like crap. I guess my camera needs an anchor too. Thanks for the picture.

All of mine are crap too. Except one of Waterfoul. Even this one the sun is at a bad angle.

Hey Payton & Quiet Storm,
I saw you guys hiding out there. I was anchored up with Rocketman and 32Fever. 32Fever wished I had anchored up with you guys. LOL When the wind changed everyone got messed up. I reset my anchor a bunch of times that day.

Eather I'm blind or I was just to busy reseting my anchor all day. I was looking for you but thought you were at another turn. I saw your pictures and thought thats the same angle I saw. Now I know where you were. Maybe you should change your name from Candyman to Cameraman. You take great shots.

Thanks. I would rather take pictures than sell Candy. Oh well!

I need to read the camera instructions. There is definitely room for improvement. I was hiding behind a cruiser that wanted to use me for an anchor also. :D I had the zoom maxed out when I took that shot.
