^^^ what flavor of machine tool do you use? The back way cover looks to be of Haas, but the color almost looks to be Mori. How ever the cover dont look right for a Mori.

Black Thunder built the extension box into the boat on their 43's.

My .02 if the drives are further back on a NONE notched transom then you can run a higher x. It also makes the boat a bit longer as far as the waves you will ride over. The notched transom does the same thing. Like fountain has. In the shop where my fountain is there is a 388 hustler with xr and boxes. Not sure if it's notched but it really makes me sad when I see my boat next to this hustler..... I made a mistake when I bought my boat. Hustler is far more superior . Hate to say it.....

I'm building some 12" standoff boxes for my Arnesons on the new skater. Try to get the prop a little farther back for cleaner water and a more efficient drive shaft angle

That's what I'm doing, if you set them back enough, you can run same depth as anything else...

38 Powerplay, "Can't Touch This" had #6s on boxes and I believe that boat ran into the high teens with big Cobra power.

I guess I was always under the impression that the farther the drive was from the trailing edge of the hull the cleaner the water is. Therefor the raising prop efficiency . I notch does the same thing. But I don't have a degree in hydro dynamics.
