Calumet River Poker Run (Chicago) 9/7
#11
The river entrance is North west of Hammond. You wil go through the break wall on the south end of the city and proceed through the mouth of the river. If you look for a high elevated railroad bridge and the Chicago Skyway you can't miss it. The lock are about 6miles down.
Candyman,
I figure around 10 or 10:30 meet at triplex.
We are catering food from a different place and the Band is the one we had for the Open House.
Stevel, You can call me. PM me for my caell phone number

Mark,
I'm meeting OB and a few others between 9:30 and 9:45 at Alsip. It looks like were going to have great weather. Would you guys interested in going to Michigan City for a late lunch on Sunday?

We are going to have to miss the poker run. We've got another commitment on Saturday night, that starts earlier that I thought. There is now way we can be back home in time unless we leave the poker run at 3:30.
I think we are going to be out on the boat for a while Saturday, then Sunday afternoon as well.
Dan, how lat of a lunch are you talking?
Hey, I saw the ramp at Alsip last night. We had to pick up some truck parts just up the road from there. Nice place. I like all the lights for night time loading.

Mark,
I tried to PM you but your mailbox is full.
Candyman
I have not been up the river in a long long time.
Anything I need to know? How far is the marina past the locks?
Thanks!
Steve

Stevel,
You enter the river at Calumet Harbor. After the lock you have a 1-mile no wake zone. At the end of that no wake zone there is a railroad bridge with a sign that says start your wake here. The next bridge is the Bishop Ford expressway. The marina is right after you pass that bridge. It will be to your left tucked back in the cove. Make sure you keep an eye out for floaties on the river.
See you there,
Dan
