What time is everyone thinking of arriving? We will have a radar gun available Friday afternoon for testing/practice.

There will be a party Friday night at Cottonwood with a band. Mac is throwing the party mainly because of the large OSO group that will be showing up.

We will have an OSO banner displayed in the area reserved for the OSO member boats.

We will run the boats by class, to keep the wakes down all the boats in a class will head to the starting point and the starter will signal each boat when the track is clear. We want to make sure that the wakes from the boats heading to the starting area have settled down.

The powder puffs will run around noon.

Thumbs up

I just wanted to let everyone know that plans for this week-end are coming along very well. Hopefully, the weatherman will cooperate as well.

I will be leaving tomorrow night or Thursday morning for the marina so if anyone gets lost & needs directions or anything else - please feel free to call me at Cottonwood. Their number is 402-426-2440. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone - see ya all on friday!

Nancy,
Thank you for all the help. The first drink's on us. Julie & I should be in sometime around noon. The rest of the "Perry Gang" is coming in early afternoon. Last count, I think we have 5 boats with 8 rooms full of peoples.
BTW, The Econo Lodge had rooms for $58.99 and NO discount. The Super 8 rooms were $58.09, and they were going call me back when they found out what the discount was. Turns out, that's with the discount. Sounds like either one will work.

We're looking forward to meeting y'all !!!

Hugh,
If I remember right, there really wasn't much room for spectator boats. The ones that were there were pretty much just lining the opposite shore. They also had a pretty healthy current to deal with. In fact, I thought the best view was right there at the Cottonwood marina, just above the docks. Great race seats, a radio announcer (who didn't know much about boats but was entertaining), calling each run, and a waitress bringing you drinks. Can't beat it!

Gordo is right you have a pretty good view of the action from the marina itself.

Hugh,

I will have my baby Scarab at the marina which you can use if you like. I will be helping out with the event so I will not have much time to boat.

I should be at the Marina early Friday afternoon. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

I just checked on the weather report for the weekend. Not so good.
Friday 75
Saturday 63- BRRRRRRRRR
Sunday 65
Do you think warm boating weather might be over around these parts?
Yes, we will be in between 5:00 and 5:30 Friday evening. I am looking forward to putting a face with a name. See you all there.
BTW MnFastBoat, you will not be the only one without a boat! HA!
