LSX Engines Lacking Power

2000 HP LSX Turbo

Also theres an article about the new 454R LSX makes 770 hp on 454 cubes. Admittedly its a drag racing engine but they mentioned they built it for durability. Intersting point in the article is they talk about how much air the LSX will flow.

Ryan,
While I'm a huge fan of your LS work, I question weather a 1000 hp LS engine would have the reliability and durability needed for sustained marine abuse.
I know they will make the power, I just don't know that I'd bet on one running as long as a traditional (say 540ci turbo/SC BBC) for sustained periods of time being heavily loaded in an offshore at the 1000 hp levels.
Regardless, please keep up the great development work on the turbo charged LS platform, your work has a lot of potential!

With aftermarket block, crank, and heads at least? I'm asking not because I know, but just casual observations seem that aforementioned stuff is more upfront $ to the Ole big block stuff. And I'm assuming a reliable everday 1000 hp Ls has to be boosted. No 15:1 engine is gonna be very practical.

What's everyone do for the accessories? Run the ugly car stuff or can you make marine brackets fit?

I think the ecoboost is a neat little motor, but I've always wondered why they get so much more hype then GM's little dual overhead direct injected 3.6L. You should see the power these little buggers make when you add some boost!
