Looking for permanent camera system, any info?

I'm sick of sticking cameras to the boat, hoping they are aimed correctly, recording, battery life, worrying about losing them etc.
I have spent a fortune and never happy with outcome.
I have tried smRtycam, Gopro, sonys newest, prime x, bullet cams and probably at least one other.
I want to add a full time, 4 to 6 camera system with Dvr that is recording automatically when the boat is running.

Is there anything out there that someone is using and loves??

Maybe a security company would have an all-weather set-up

While walking around the pits in KW I saw that a couple of the boats had them built into the boat. They were mounted flush with the outside surface and looked very sleek. I think both of the CMS boats had them . If you didn't really look close, they would even be noticed.

Avigilon has awesome software, waterproof bullets a bit large.

Axis cameras are also great have more selection like this.

My company installs IP video in commercial apps. we use these brands and takes a Cat5 cable to each cam.

Gino, Randy has done some really nice flush mount cameras on CMS. As stated earlier you won't even notice them if your not looking. But look incredible when you do see them. Not sure of the video quality since I haven't seen that but I'm sure Randy or Bob would be happy to show you some footage.

We have a 12 camera system on the new boat. It records 24/7 for 2 weeks. And it has cellular and satellite uplinks for people to be able to view the cameras live. I will get you some information on it.

I'm looking into this currently and would love to have something in the engine room and on the dash. I checked out the axis site -- cameras look nice and compact but not the view that I'm looking for...

Anyone have any other suggestions?

I have a Microsoft surface in my dash SH. It would be cool to know if you could connect to them wi-fi and pull them up on the surface

These are pretty cool too, because they can take your can bus data straight from ecu and overlay it and gps data on the video automatically. May not be the all encompassing solution but nice to have.

I'd give Ron Muller w/ Electronics Unlimited a buzz, he's very knowledgeable about options (Double Rigged here on OSO)
