Feels good to have her back in the water!!!:D :D |
JJ gave the crowd at Salty Dog a nice "rough water" fly-by.....
there is nothing better to see 50-75 people standing on the docks turn around to take a look at your boat...:) |
VERY NICE!LOVE THE BOLSTERS AND HELM!BEST OF LUCK!
|
Shane,
I second what WARPAINT has said. Who did bolster design and upholstry? Are there 6 stand-up bolsters in there? Looks awesome bro. Mark/KAAMA |
thanks again guys......I can't explain how ggod it felt. I told myself all week not to get excited so i wouldn't get let down if it didn't happen........We worked on the boat until 1:30 am on friday before Labor Day (I was so wound up with excitement I barely slept on fri nite) then continued to wrench until 4:30 on saturday and then hit water at about 5.
I cant even put into words the above and beyond service i recieved from CPR (Central Performance and Rigging) of LOTO. Rueben and Scott opened their shop, tool boxes and resources to me to try and hit water for the holiday. If any one want's top notch service they are the guys, they are a perfect culmination of Marine Managment(mark adams in FL) and TNT rigging (we all know who that is) Rueben crew chifed the Big thunder race boats for 10 years and Scott worked on the crew for several. Their number is 573-348-1414 they handle all jobs. I would also like to Thank Advanced Canvas Steve, Todd and the whole crew for some late nites getting the seats back in this past week. Their work is first class this was my 4th try at this interior and it is finally what i want ( I am a tad anal). I would also like to thank Rex Marine for the prompt service on saturday delivery of the parts we needed. I also want to thank the service department at Kelly's Port on LOTO they had one of the shift cable's we needed and then took the time to call around the area to find the other for me. I cant tell you the happiness I have. I am working on a website for the history of the boat. I will post a link to the site once it is done. I cant forget tbone and JBK for letting me boat mooch. Thanks to everyone R. Shane Sherman AKA:ssherman, and Jesse James PS: I will have to take JBK's word on the audience at Salty Dog I was concentrating on keeping those new motors in check.:D |
Kaama,
The seats were done by advanced Canvas @ Lake Ozark ask for Steve or Todd tell them i sent you 573-374-1796. They are six man all stand up bolsters.....and lets just say I am glad I ride in the front because the back is TIGHT. |
REAL NICE !!:D
|

Shorty you are welcome anytime...I am trying to get some props sent in and some other parts. We are still playing with the CG (stripped the cabin and added 4 extra group 31 batteries so that will take a couple runs to figure out. But possibly this weekend or next. |

Thanks ragtop....is your screen name an indication of a Land Based toy you have? if so lets see a pic.
|
Shane
Missed seeing your boat in person since it had been completed. Stopped at Todd's shop for a few beers and he told me you just left with it. Looks great. |
Thanks KC.....It will be a regular fixture at Loto so look me up...I was thinking of that deal in omaha are you going to that?
|
Yep Shane, I know how you feel or at least I'm about to know how you feel, as my boat has just about been gutted from the helm to stern! We/re just around the corner from being finished too. It's been a long, hard process to walk through when a boat needs major repairs, mods and upgrades. I guess I didn't really realize you weren't running all this time. If you have posted it in some past threads I guess I must have missed it. Two years?---what all did you go through? What happend? (if you care to tell).
I'm looking forward to that same feeling of anticipation and excitement of being able to launch my boat and the feeling of being able to start those engines after all of those long nights, hard work, running around for parts, etc, etc. Plus it's a lot to think about too! The constant thought of how you want things done and watching and assisting the hired help on the boat and staying possitive about it can really absorb a lot of thought time---aside from your own work. I don't particularly care to have always be thinking of what has to be done to the boat next when it's in a major project. A lot of fitting and fabrication has had to take place. Things don't always go as fast as you want which can make it extremely frustrating. One day at a time and you have got to stay focussed and one has to keep the vision. It can really wear on a person---WHEW!!! It would be nice to just put the boat away and forget about it for a while until I want to use it again. I mean, like it's time to get some seat time in for a change---eh Shane? |
Hey Miss Amy and Lutz Party, I just had a martini for all you guys:D :D :D
|
LOL Biggus! Was it cherry limead or chocolate?
KCHotboat! FINALLY we got to meet! Hope to spend more time with yu guys next time. Shane, I'll mention it to Lutz and see what he says about Omaha. Sam's birthday is the 25, so we may be doing the birthday thing......just hafta see how it plays out. |
