How did the bottom design come forth ? The 42 has a completely different hull bottom that the 38 Hypersonic. It looked like just 2 simple steps added and wonder if any sort of testing was done beforehand or from someother design / boat. I did ask where the bottom came from but really did not get an answer. Just asking.

Bruce C. seemed to be a very nice guy and you can tell he wants to bring Sonic's back to market. I talked to him for a least an hour straight and he mentioned many times that he is building the boats plus has been with Sonic since 1988. Kind of wonder if he has some sort of % ownership as well to keep him on board.

BUP, The hull started as the original 42 hull. Which is well known for its rough water performance. Where I mostly boat, it's rarely ideal conditions. The steps were added, as well as a pad. I'll get some specifics for you. Bruce is the man. One of the nicest guys you could ever meet, and one of the biggest Patriots fans alive. I knew I liked him.

That's a hell of an answer to a simple question -

Those graphics and colors will be timeless IMO. Worth all of the trial and error. Nice job

The new lines on your boat are awesome and the paint and graphic are right on. When i was at the factory a month ago it was amazing to see the time taken to detail. The interior and windshield are top notch very impressive. Tony has turned things around, was great to see all the boats in different production sages when I was there. Sonic has a few big projects going on right now great to see the boating industry in general finally rebounding.

thanks for your replies and I really like your boat. It is even better in person. Bruce said anyone is welcome to come and visit the facility in Ft. P.

Man If I knew he was a Pats fan we probably would have talked all day. I go way back with Pats as well even further back than the Steve Grogan, Russ Francis, and Randy Vataha days.

Edelman should have been the MVP. Sorry for the thread change up.

Congrats on the new boat! Happy to hear you did not get screwed. Hoping this positive trend continues but would hate to have it happen to someone else. Nice looking boat and excited for more new model introductions like this one.

I am surprised anyone would support Sonic/Frisini after reading this thread though

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...w-frisini.html

My cliff notes (please correct me if I am wrong)

Chuck ordered a boat from Frisini/Spectre/Sonic
OCM collected Chucks money
OCM used Chucks money to help themselves make money all while trying to protect chuck from not receiving a boat
Chuck ordered OCM to pay the remaining balance to Frisini/Spectre/Sonic on his new boat order
TO THIS DAY (2-3 years later) CHUCK HAS NOT RECIEVED HIS NEW BOAT
Frisini changed the name on the side from Spectre to Sonic, and took chucks boat on some joy rides to promote their shady company
The Spectre molds were repossessed from Frisini
Frisini rebrands their company to only Sonic hoping we would not remember

This is a positive thread about a positive experience. Can we keep it that way? Thanks
