honestly you could probably learn a lot going to a boat show and walking around take some stats. it would probably be the best thing for your project.

Where did I go wrong in life? Pretty sure none of my college papers included powerboats! :angry-smiley-038:

Hi.

We are a group students from Plymouth University conducting research into small powerboats and the features that are seen as the most important.

The questions we are hoping to find answers to are:

What deck layout is favoured on 15-20ft sized powerboats?
What features/options are “must-haves”?
What is valued most in a powerboat? (Speed, reliability, safety etc)

Thank you for any help you can give. :)

Honestly you are on the wrong website. Blow boaters (sail boaters) classify any boat with an engine a "powerboat" but this site is about FAST High Performance Powerboats.

Good luck on your research. I would recommend giving and asking for more detailed info though. There is A LOT more to selecting the proper boat, and what reasons went into that selection, than what you have asked.

Actually I am sort of disappointed the more I think about this, what are they teaching you in schools today???

Oh wait I didn't care for school anyways.....started my own business while in high school, then skipped college to start my next business.

Again I honestly wish you all the best.......and I think your class is going to need it.

What he said... but in the range your talking a certain percentage involve a spontaneous "hey they looks like fun" spur of the moment purchase. This is qiuckly followed by a grumpy wife stating " everything is fine"

This guy was creative.

Small boat and an egg beater.

What can one do ? Add a gas powered drink blender mounted on the egg beater.

Bring on the thongs!
