Here we go

NASCAT 02-28-2015 03:06 PM

I thought the thread title was "Financing Ideas" not should I finance or not, but what don I know??

US1 Fountain 02-28-2015 03:31 PM

Pay cash for your Bayliner or finance your new Skater? :)

370ss500efi 02-28-2015 04:00 PM

Keep your cash, invest it making 8-15%. finance toys at 4% ish. I bought my Formula 370ss at age 25, 10 years later, still smiling

First off, I'll apologize for getting off topic with my comment. Next, if your "dumb*ss" comment was directed partially towards me, (and it seems that would be the case as I'm sure your previous post was), I'd suggest you think twice before you call somebody a dumb*ss while hiding behind your keyboard. I can assure you I'm far from a dumb*ass. Lastly, don't say sh!t to people here that you wouldn't say to their face and I'm fairly certain you wouldn't call me a dumb*ss to my face.

precisiondetails 02-28-2015 04:49 PM

This thread has gone off the deep end!! Lol

I've never clicked on so many like buttons in so short of time!!

I can see winter is wearing on a lot of people.

It's all good folks.

Like NASCAT said, it's a thread titled Financing help, not should he finance at all.

Now I wouldn't call someone a dumb ass for saying their opinion. But hey like the one previous post said-
Pay cash for a bay liner or finance a Skater. Now that's funny.

LIFE IS SHORT DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO MAKE YOUR SELF HAPPY!!

ChristianGott 02-28-2015 05:06 PM

Nice. Another legit thread jacked. I think OSO already has a "Finance or not" thread. Way to drive away newbies. That's just what the performance boat world needs. :-(

Rattlesnake Jake 02-28-2015 05:23 PM

Bottom line is if he could pay cash I don't think he would be looking for financing.

Hijacked? I said three words "don't finance toys"
Taking a note on a depreciating asset is a joke. Many people will owe more than the boat is worth with in the first 7 years of ownership.
I stated my opinion and that's all.
Let it go. winter is almost over.

Way to drive away newbies?
Anybody who owns a boat knows that buying a boat is the cheapest part of owning a boat.

Just stating my opinion

Can't beleive anybody gives a $hit about my opinions.

Carry on with the bashing. It's quite amusing.

I don't think anyone was looking for your opinions....

He was just looking for financing options that's all...not to be told to not finance his toys.

I am sure that you are so wealthy that you have never had to finance anything....?

While you think that might of been a good place to give your opinion I beg to differ.

ChristianGott 02-28-2015 07:20 PM

Ok "extras"..
Then just drive to my house and either punch me in the face, or hug me and kiss my cheek.
None of my comments were directed at you personally, so chill.
I've seen WAY to many legit threads go to doody based on a simple newbies looking for help and seeing "pros" rip them to bits.

Ive seen way more times advice to buy more than the op is looking for because bigger is better.
if it's beyond the budget, that is not a good thing, nor what the poster is asking about.

ChristianGott 02-28-2015 08:30 PM

Yes! How's that
extras! I'm with what Buck says....?
maybe.....?
I ♡ OSO!

That's great advice but he didn't ask for anyone's "opinions" on the merits of financing or not.

precisiondetails 02-28-2015 09:06 PM

So back to the point of this thread!

Anyone that posts options or anything but help on the original post, can donte a dollar to his down payment fund! Lol

extras 03-01-2015 06:54 AM

Don't finance toys

Rattlesnake Jake 03-01-2015 07:30 AM

Don't give a ratsazz what you think extras, If I want to finance a "TOY" that's my business, not yours or anyone else.

BTW, Bought mysel a new Case/IH 35B tractor last year and financed it with 10% down 0% interest for 60 months.

extras 03-01-2015 08:06 AM

Case makes excellent equipment but Cats are much better. Next time spend the extra money and buy a Cat

Great advice... and what exactly does CAT make that might even be remotely similar to a 35B? Do you even k ow what that is?

Technically, the topic of the post is "financing ideas please". So, extras first post of not financing toys it right along those lines. It's good advice. However, extra's follow up posts just show us all the true colors of the posting individual. Maybe some sound financial advice, but his sound advice loses all credibility followed by immense immaturity. It would be like Dave Ramsey finishing his FPU sessions with a string of yo mama jokes.

US1 Fountain 03-01-2015 11:56 AM

Boats are not toys. They are our lively hood. Cash if you can/want.....Finance if you want/need.

32fever 03-01-2015 02:06 PM

Hmmmm...Jerry.....Lively hood? You taking trips to Cuba in the Fountain?:cool-smiley-011:

I have no idea. I'm not a tractor salesman.
