This thread has gone off the deep end!! Lol
I've never clicked on so many like buttons in so short of time!! I can see winter is wearing on a lot of people. It's all good folks. Like NASCAT said, it's a thread titled Financing help, not should he finance at all. Now I wouldn't call someone a dumb ass for saying their opinion. But hey like the one previous post said- Pay cash for a bay liner or finance a Skater. Now that's funny. LIFE IS SHORT DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO MAKE YOUR SELF HAPPY!! |
Nice. Another legit thread jacked. I think OSO already has a "Finance or not" thread. Way to drive away newbies. That's just what the performance boat world needs. :-(
|
Bottom line is if he could pay cash I don't think he would be looking for financing.

Taking a note on a depreciating asset is a joke. Many people will owe more than the boat is worth with in the first 7 years of ownership. I stated my opinion and that's all. Let it go. winter is almost over. |

Anybody who owns a boat knows that buying a boat is the cheapest part of owning a boat. Just stating my opinion Can't beleive anybody gives a $hit about my opinions. Carry on with the bashing. It's quite amusing. |

Don't try Bank of America- Back when I was getting the Cig they turned me down with 50% down payment. and virtually NO debt. And about 3x's the boats value in the bank. Already paid of the Baja with them too.
Told them to start making out some cashiers checks because ALL my $ was leaving their institution within 48hrs! I wish I could have gotten a pic of the mgrs expression. |

It's quite amusing. I don't think anyone was looking for your opinions.... He was just looking for financing options that's all...not to be told to not finance his toys. I am sure that you are so wealthy that you have never had to finance anything....? While you think that might of been a good place to give your opinion I beg to differ. |
Ok "extras"..
Then just drive to my house and either punch me in the face, or hug me and kiss my cheek. None of my comments were directed at you personally, so chill. I've seen WAY to many legit threads go to doody based on a simple newbies looking for help and seeing "pros" rip them to bits. "For the love of the sport....." C |
Ive seen way more times advice to buy more than the op is looking for because bigger is better.
if it's beyond the budget, that is not a good thing, nor what the poster is asking about. |
Yes! How's that
extras! I'm with what Buck says....? maybe.....? I ♡ OSO! |

So back to the point of this thread!
Anyone that posts options or anything but help on the original post, can donte a dollar to his down payment fund! Lol |
Don't finance toys
|
Don't give a ratsazz what you think extras, If I want to finance a "TOY" that's my business, not yours or anyone else.
BTW, Bought mysel a new Case/IH 35B tractor last year and financed it with 10% down 0% interest for 60 months. |
Case makes excellent equipment but Cats are much better. Next time spend the extra money and buy a Cat

Technically, the topic of the post is "financing ideas please". So, extras first post of not financing toys it right along those lines. It's good advice. However, extra's follow up posts just show us all the true colors of the posting individual. Maybe some sound financial advice, but his sound advice loses all credibility followed by immense immaturity. It would be like Dave Ramsey finishing his FPU sessions with a string of yo mama jokes.
|
Boats are not toys. They are our lively hood. Cash if you can/want.....Finance if you want/need.
|
Hmmmm...Jerry.....Lively hood? You taking trips to Cuba in the Fountain?:cool-smiley-011:
