Don Aronow would have been 88 years old on March1st, his birthday
Don Aronow would have been 88 years old on March 1st. Somehow can't picture him that old.
It has already been 28 years since Don was murdered in 1987.
Just think of some of the new ideas he would have come up with over that span of time, re design and power sources.
As we know, he was preparing a new 45 foot deep vee hull, to enter the SEARACE event.
SEARACE was a race that John Crouse came up with. The race started in Miami and went over to Nassau in the Bahamas and then without stopping, returned to Miami.
The race had pretty much been dominated by a 53 foot Magnum with multiple wins.
In the modern era, would he have used steps or multi steps on the bottom of his new boats or would he have gone over completely to cats or even a tri hull design?
