Hassan and Steve curtis were outed and discovered to "interim" Opgp president, and around the same time, JC found out Opgp was in bed with Nicandri et al. Hassan dug his own grave with SBI. Not only the turbine was banned, the whole Qatar team was banned fathom KW. Can't blame JC when there is no turbines (plural) to race 96. Why do you think Gecko got out of turbines? No competition = no racing!

I am not arguing the better boats/races wont be in the Keys. I am just saying that even without the SBI boats and the die hard fans. The Sarasota run will still draw a big crowd as usual. At this point it has turned into a yearly fun event that the casual boat fan and just even beach fan has gotten into. Those are the type that can not name a boat other than Geico. They will still pile in, rent rooms, crowd the area with family, and cheer on the boats and even the jet skis.

I would think if Steve called SBI he could race Cocoa.
It wasnt to prove a point, you dont know all the fact and this isnt the place. But slinging BS isnt helping anything especailly when u dont know what was done and for what reasons.

Why is the blond lady in the news video quoting how many hotel nights impact that the jetski grand prix will have on the local economy, if it's 99% locals at the event?
Maybe if they add a sandcastle building and bellyflop contest too, then the event will truly become as big as they're pretending it will be.
