I can't defend or criticize the incentive program, I can only report on it. I can, The headline, however, was accurate and devoid sensationalism, though pretty far "great" as headlines go (Same for the story, just OK.) Even on a $500,000 boat, $100,000—meaning 20 percent—qualifies as a "deep" discount on any big-ticket item. I just bought a car. A 20-percent discount would have been meant a lot.

Now, whether or not you like Fountain products and pricing is, of course, you're choice. But the story and headline were written without bias one way or another. Make of it what you will.

Matt my comment was more of a reflection of the industry practice to not publish MSRP on any boat than your actual article or headline...... I imagine their press release had a similar headline.

At least for Donzi, they seem to list it right on the page: http://www.donzimarine.com/Boats/OrderForms/ZR_43.pdf

EDIT: Same with Fountain: http://www.fountainpowerboats.com/Bo...rms/LTG_42.pdf

Similar ... but much, much longer. They always are.

I'll probably taking a whipping for posting this but...the only thing that can bring Fountain back to life is Reggie Fountain himself. With the lawsuits resolved, it's now time to bring performance boats back to the front line. Baja Marine will need someone like Reggie (and his high performance posse) to make than happen...

I doubt anyone is going to be beating down the doors at those prices. I would imagine you could get an equally equipped Outerlimits, Cigarette, or Active thunder for that kind of money. 930k seems a little steep for a 42 with 1100's, for that money I'll take a 42X or SL 41.

When was the last time Fountain or Donzi built a sport boat? 2010? Serious question, not trying to be a jack wagon.
