Default Where to buy Top end parts for 525mercracing ?

I am posting for my buddy and he owns a 2006 Topgun 38 , I have also been doing research for him to see when he should be getting concerned about one of those 525 dirtying up is Bilge... Right now both engine are at about 420hrs and besides getting the Headers pressure tested every 2 year and tune-ups every year the engines have never been worked on...

I caught a post on 525 and most owners recommended doing top end refresh since the rockers and lifter seem to be the week point of those motors so where would you guy's recommend getting the parts from ?

Thanks and this is the boat.

Try Brand X High Performance Marine in Pompano. Also think BAM Marine could help you too.

Where are you located. Sounds like he's due for the top end rebuild. A good performance shop with marine experience should be able to replace the valve springs (Isky Toolroom), do a valve and rebuild or replace the rockers. I suggest replacing the rockers with Scorpion or Harland Sharp.

^ thanks for the info , the boat is in Montreal... He's got a really good guy up here that suggested to do this work but say's that he won't do it because past 450hrs he only does long blocks crate replacement since in his opinion the motors are finished when they get to that many hours. So the shop said I can sell you the parts , give you some pointers but won't touch the motors.

That's a beautiful boat. Where are yall located? From what I've read, he is running with the devil at 400+ hours on that valve train. Call Eddie Young.
