Where do I get Closed Cell Foam?
I'm getting ready for Duck season and found a couple of leaks in the "Camo Toon" so I plan on fixing them adding a couple more braces and replacing the waterlogged foam that is in the inside with "Closed Cell Foam" that way if any more water ever get's in there the foam won't soak it up.
I think it comes in two liquid part's that you mix together then let it set up and expand? Where could I find some? |
Can you get the closed cell in the mixed variety??? I think that Davinicell makes some great foam products.

Dow, TEK Composites, ATL Composites, Baltek Corporation, Divinacell, General Plastics all make quality structural foam coring, to name a few.

Do I go to their web site and buy it there? Or what kind of a supply house do I need to go to to ask for it? Keep in mind I in Kansas and the nearest boat builder is 3 Hours away! (Cobalt in Neodasha, KS)

Both West Marine and Boats
U.S. carry it in their catalogs but a lot of stores here on the Left Coast do not stock it in there stores. Mike J. |
Umm...I'm not sure, but I believe that foam is actually open cell. I believe the hard outer skin is water impervious, but when damaged the foam will soak up water.
