[QUOTE=Jupiter Sunsation;4301668]I love the boat but that price point is 50K too high in comparison to other open bow's of that size...[/QUOTE

I would be wide open for a list of comparable boats.

I think it's a great idea and agree with Jupiter the price tag is a bit steep. I could see $150,000, but even at that price you can get in a few year old bigger better boat with I/O's.

2 things wrong with your post

* A few years old is not a brand new customer ordered boat fit to your likings.

* if you are looking at this boat, you prob don't want I/O's. As then you lose the cockpit space and the point of this boat.

Try again bud.

It's an opinion, don't get bent or lose your last comment.

Not bent out of shape at all but if you're looking at this boat, you have already made your mind you don't want I/o's

Point taken. My statement about I/O's were from a dollar standpoint only and not a personal preference.

The last new 28 Sunsation MCOB with a 502 was listed at 130k (asking). No argument they build a nice MCOB, been doing them 12+ years now and the boat has an actual mid-cabin vs. a walk through. I know the 288 w/ swim platform vs. full 29 feet argument but 50k difference in asking price is going to keep a lot of buyers of the sidelines.

50k is $400 a month on a 15 yr loan.......buys a lot of gas!

I think this 29' would stack up better against the 32' of some builders.

It's huge in the cockpit area and has the full 29' of STEPPED hull design. Plus, I will take twin 350's over a single 502 boat any day.

I suspect the speed will be at or near 80 as well.

I agree. The concept is really good, but the price and execution is way off. The price is too high and the look is a sport deck with a hole cut out...design the boat as if its a sporty bow rider at an affordable price and you eliminate 2 road blocks. The trend now is luxury Center Console Fish boats: Nor-Tech, Statement, MTI, Cig and the rest... do follow the rest, LEAD!!

I like it!

Yes, the trend is CC, but why do the same thing everyone else is? To me, this addresses the primary reasons a go fast guy looks at a cc. Outboard reliability, more passenger space and comfort. The only thing really different is no top. A 33 with triples sounds awesome to me and would get my attention.
