Oil pressure sending unit replacement question

Curious if I have to get a Mercruiser specific oil pressure guage sending unit, or if I can order a universal one from say Summit/Jegs or local auto parts place?

This is for my Faria 0-80 psi guage and MKIV motor...
TIA!

when it comes to gauges I think it best to stick with the same brand as your guage, faria senders are available at west marine and many others
