Need Drive Help

I might have a problem with one of my drives. When I put it in gear one shifter dosn't go as far forward as the other two, and it's hard to pull out of gear. Any ideas anyone?

I would check the shifter cables first. Sounds like it could be binding.

could be upper gear set, where the clutch cone is at. you would have to drain the oil out of drive, look for any brass or metal shavings, if you see some, pull the rear cover off and look inside you will see a brass ring thats supposed to be pressed on both gears, if one of them has come unseated, thats your problem, and the gear set will have to be replaced. i've done plenty of them, so if i can be of any help give me a call 616-208-4424.

I was having the same problem with one of my drives. Checked the cables, (yes, both of them),removed the rear cover but didn't see anything major jump out and grab me.
After reading Dr. Dave's post, I think I'll go back and look again.
Thanks
