Super lightweight cover

Anybody know where I can get a super lightweight cover ? I need to keep dust and a few water drops off of the deck. It is inside an old warehouse so it is a bit dusty etc. Thinking a cover made out of a tyvek type of material for weight. I have a full sunbrella cover that is heavy and not easy to put on. It does not have to be for my exact boat. I just need it to lay on top of my boat. One from say a 382 Formula or similar sized boat will work.

It is a 2000 Baja 36 Outlaw.

Thanks !!!

Not sure if they're still around, there used to be a company called Carrie (sp?) Covers. They made a lightweight type of cover, similar to parachute material. Good luck!

509---thx. I did check and it appears they are no longer in business. And I did find a few negative experiences with them. I am looking to spend maybe $200 or so since all I need is to have something cover the top.

Somebody posted the use of a military surplus parachute for just a purpose
I believe it was very inexpensive.

I remember that too, but where to find one?

I'm going from memory - which is about as short as ... well let's just say it's not what it used to be.

It seemed to me that the guy went to an Army surplus store and they had a number of them.

Just for the heck of it I did a Google search and Armynavysales.com came up and they have a number of selections.

I really hope this helps

Roll of plastic from Home Depot?

I have a book from a army surplus (cant remember the name) but I bought a 24' parachute for $59 and they have them up to 30' and larger from what I remember. I use mine for a dust cover in the winter while it sits in the shop.

I just bought a roll of 1mm plastic tarp...you can find them online dirt cheap. The roll I bought was like 200'x 12', so when one length gets too dusty from my shop, I just tear off another cover like a paper towel dispenser.
