My cousin turned down a job at the World Trade Center one week before 9/11. I thank God every day that I still have him in my life.

My oldest son nears completion of his military training. Next year he will join the fleet in service of our country.
I can't help but be proud of him on this day....
...and ponder the fate which lead me to be born in this great nation.

Frequency, may he serve on a fast ship. Not being a parent myself it is impossible to know what you must feel as your son completes his training and moves closer to what could be a dangerous situation. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.
