We use an Aeromotive fuel pump. This is the pump that KE sold as part of his pre-oiler system. Also works great for changing the oil with an inline quick disconnect fitting.

many who do marine service work use a more industrial set up like these
http://www.liquidynamics.com/usedOil...tractors6.html http://www.sageoilvac.com/30080.html www.tatpumps.com and one that is called THE SLURPER - they have no website as far as I know of I was looking for something to carry by hand - 5 gallon pale with a good pump on top like the Jabsco unit. |
here is more of the lite duty ones that can be made for hand carry and bucket models for mobile calls at the marinas to hand carry. I was looking at making my own bucket one with a better pump on top of it and possible a better design..

I'd much rather have a piston/diaphragm type pump. "Pulls' much beter than a regular electic vane or other type.
These look cool Bup, I agree: http://www.pumpvendor.com/Jabsco_17860_series.html |
I've done quite a few oil change systems in boats in the past using the Reverso pumps. Their oil change system that mounts in the boat is very nice, but not cheap. I just buy the pump and rig up my own parts from there. Just the pump is in the neighborhood of $200 and would work great on top of a bucket.
