We use an Aeromotive fuel pump. This is the pump that KE sold as part of his pre-oiler system. Also works great for changing the oil with an inline quick disconnect fitting.

many who do marine service work use a more industrial set up like these

and one that is called THE SLURPER - they have no website as far as I know of

I was looking for something to carry by hand - 5 gallon pale with a good pump on top like the Jabsco unit.

here is more of the lite duty ones that can be made for hand carry and bucket models for mobile calls at the marinas to hand carry. I was looking at making my own bucket one with a better pump on top of it and possible a better design..

I'd much rather have a piston/diaphragm type pump. "Pulls' much beter than a regular electic vane or other type.

These look cool Bup, I agree:

I've done quite a few oil change systems in boats in the past using the Reverso pumps. Their oil change system that mounts in the boat is very nice, but not cheap. I just buy the pump and rig up my own parts from there. Just the pump is in the neighborhood of $200 and would work great on top of a bucket.
