Damn it is raining
We need rain bad. North Carolina is in the middle of a three year drought and the area my business is located in is currently under Stage III water alert.
Just this morning they closed ALL the ramps on Lake Wylie out of Charlotte.
We need rain BAD, but not this weekend. Damn, it is pouring at my house and it looks like this weekend will be a rain out here.
Not complaining, just disappointed.
Oh well, let it rain.

Doc, Looks like rain for most of the weekend . We were going down to the Chesapeake tomorrow and Sunday. Wanted to hit Jelly Fish Joels. Looks like that's cancelled. Of course on the other hand Memorial Day had a forcast almost as bad and I managed to get out all three days and never got rained on.
We DO need the rain desperately so I guess I shouldn,t complain But It could have waited till Tuesday.
Stay dry

Fountain1Fan,
I hear you man. We kept a 21 foot Baja at the dry storage owned by Carolina Marina on Blews back in 1999. It is really a nice little lake. Deep as hell in the main channel.
Pull it on down to Norman. We have had no problems putting the 36 in, and can still get into all the resturants without a problem. Plenty of water in the main channel, you just have to be careful in many of the coves. No problem with the shoals, they can easily be seen.
Flashback,
I know Dryrock is even worse. You need to pull over to Norman next weekend, weather permitting with Fountain Fan and do some real boating.
Let me know if you guys are coming down.

We have been going to Norman every weekend since April. We will be there tomorrow. I have a Chris Cat and my friend has a yellow 25 Eliminator. We will be putting the boats in at Queens Landing. Ramsey park ramps have been shut down, Stumpy creek is too shallow right now to launch a big cat. What type of boat do you have? Maybe we will see you there.
