Going from 4 blade to 5?

I have a 03 37 Active Thunder with stock 496 mag HO's. Right now I'm spinning stock 28p B1's. I'm thinking about going to a set of hydromotive p5x. Anyone have any experience with this? What pitch do I need? I've read that to go up 1 blade you need to drop 3 in pitch..

I'd call and talk to Pat. On a 33 Outlaw (yes I know, not apples to apples) we found having Brett work Bravo I's yielded better results than P5X's.

X drives currently? 5 Blades really bite and will stress your drives more than a 4 blade. Maybe look into having BBlades work your 4 blades.

If it is a step hull you may want P5s vs the P5x

Step hull and bravo XZ's.

Have Brett rework the Maximus, I had him do a set on my twin step gun and was very pleased with the results. Brett told me this was the best 5 blade for my application.

Does your boat porpoise? Jordans did with bravo props, always thought a prop with more stern lift would work better.
