Talked to my buddy with one; 500EFIs.
80 flat out, best speed.
Various across mid-70s depending on load and water conditions.

I used the base HP and speed to calculate the weight, then changed gross HP numbers to re-calculate (theoretical) speed.

Went to see today and perfect ! Super clean, brand new boat! First owner but... 1100 hours on original 500 efi, mostly ran at 3000-3200 rpm, synthetic oil changed every 25 hours

Ticking bomb? Your thoughts please...

Not sure how top speed and 45 trip anything go together in a properly synergistic and holistic way. If you are asking "is a perfect boat with 1100 hours on trip 500s " a time bomb, well that depends. If you are going to run the piss out of if to see what the top speed is, for a few more hours, the answer is yes. Why you would do this instead of babying a great boat you can probably buy for less the the cost of the original engine package, I cannot answer.

I dont think it will blow up , but if it looks new and runs good you have a may have a new ferrari's worth of money buying at 1100 hours to fund repairs . Vs the guy that took delivery new.
