Looking 4 condo in Tampa
 

Contemplating a move to Florida sometime in the not to distant future. I'm looking for a condo on a waterway/canal, with a dock and lift for my boat. Trying to not spend too much money. I can find really decent properties in the Ft. Myers/Cape Coral area but I don't know anything about the Tampa/ St. Pete area.

Any help would be appreciated.

Wisconsin to FL - That's a long haul, but a great move!

Btw- I made the move to tampa in '95 from Niles,Il. and i don't regret a single moment! Great living-Great weather

I am going on 7 years... From Schenectady NY originally... (I know a few of you will know where that is).. Have not regreted a DAY! I love not having to winterize my boat, I even went out on it the day after christmas! A little chilly, but I could do it! :D

Thanks everyone. My mom has a condo in Cape Coral that we go to often. I love Florida. The weather is so much better for the most part than Wisconsin's.

There are days here however that are just sooo perfect. But when I start to think about the sub-zero days in Jan.....:eek:
NO THANKS.

Hopefully We'll be there soon enough.

Well, for what it's worth, I can only add the same sentiments as everyone else. I love it here, and being originally from Jersey, I can say with 100% confidence that it's the best thing I've ever done in my life.

You'd love the area, I guarantee it, and we could always use another member of the Offshore performance community. Hope your future move is an easy one full of good fortune and good experiences. :cool:

You can always go back to Wisconsin for BOTH weeks of summer!:D

I love Florida, but I would live in a little less populated area of Florida if I could make a living there.

Don't know of any condos, but if there is anything else about the area you want to know, drop me a line. I've been here 31 years.

In the meantime, go ahead and bring the boat down so you won't have to winterize it, I'll even run it for you to keep it in shape, it would be a nasty job, but nothing is too much to ask of an OSO brother!:)

Sorry guys, but you couldn't give this WISCONSINITE a place in Florida.

Humidity sucks down there, its crowded, Wayyy to many retired folks down there, and I like our voting machines better :D. LOL

Todd, maybe you could start up some Culvers down there :), If you do, and you are looking for an investor, look me up ;)

born here ,raised in new york, daytona....back here to stay, great weather, beautiful women, fast boats, everythings within throwing distance from here you could do, and want to do........with the execption of the snowmobiling....used to do it, now I get cold just lookin at pictures of them

Oh yeah, the way I did it I put a snow shovel on top of the truck and drove south until someone said "what's that" - and I knew then I was home....
