Trivia:
The commercial features a 38 TG, Phil Collins song "In the Air Tonight" and was shot in Miami with a Miami Vice type theme. Don Aronow was shot in a Miami suburb, Phil Collins was on Miami Vice as a guest actor with many of his songs used in the series and is the current owner of Don Aronow's former home! http://miami.curbed.com/archives/201...il-collins.php This story focuses on Jennifer Lopez's ownership, but the Miami Herald did note Aronow was also a previous owner. |
Solid!

What an awesome car the Hellcat would be if it were available with AWD. Cool commercial.
|
Very Cool. Love the Old School Phil Collins on the streets of Miami. Brings back good memories.

I thought the cool part was at the end showing the Gen V 2015 Viper grabbing a gear to catch the Hellcat powered Challenger and Charger!! 206 MPH baby!
|
Damn i thought that was my old boat for a second
|
Speaking of Cigs on TV/Movies...........
Still want to know if this is someones on here? It was on Netflix's original series Bloodline, filmed in the Keys. Pretty good series too........ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psccuy1698.jpg |

Definitely a Blue TopGun.
:43-:46 marks here in extended version. Clearly a TopGun https://youtu.be/jCxehjcYwlc |
The extended version was definately better with a few more shots of the boat. No doubt a Cig.
|
Great commercial boat or not!
It is Phil and it is the 93 they rebuilt. It was used in bloodline too. Said the driver passed them at 160 on the bridge! |

I do paint repair work for a Dodge dealership in sw mi, they got ther first hellcat in today i went to the car hauler and looked at the under side. It looked to be a unibody no real fraim the driveshaft at the rear diff looked sparse, they must be using some highly alloyed steel, only got a 30 sec peak the driver was husseling to get back on the road. I have never heard enything with that much hp sound so civil at idle, what a sleeper.
|
Very cool commercial. The extended one is way better. Its funny that a show that is 30 years old still inspires modern commercials. It just goes to show you how good Michael Mann's vision was to produce a TV show that would still inspire us today.

Well, seeing as how Chrysler stopped using full frames under their cars in 1960, I'd say you were correct. You didn't hear the supercharger whine? Its muted at idle, but it is still there, trust me it screams when you are on the throttle. |
