To start the 31st annual Offshore Grand Prix thread, we go back 30 years, as Big Al and the Famous Popeyes Fried Chicken. Billy Glueck will have the Vee bottom on display, as well as hosting the pace boat chores this weekend in Sarasota.

Both have a race this weekend.

Marathon on Sat/Sun

Sarasota on Sun


I will be at lido enjoying the show. Not on my boat though :( but that is for a possible good reason.

Racing will be Saturday and Sunday in Sarasota

Which is better?

depends on the person and what your looking to do for the weekend. Both have plenty to offer.

I prefer the Sarasota races but that takes nothing away from SBI and the races down south, they are great as well.

You gotta love the irony in sponsorship. Popeye's Chicken and Biscuits.

And Diet Coke.
