What kind of maintenance would you do? Curious:
I had a trim solenoid go out a couple weeks back. Not a big deal, and easy to work around by jumping the terminals until I could get it fixed. It didn't interrupt the day that much.
Last night, I was in the bilge working on it, and the this thought occurred, wondering what others do. For those that don't know, the trim solenoids, 2 of them for each trim pump are held in by 3 bolts total. Please vote in the poll above. |
BTW: Allan4 has always been a Putz.

Allan4....turned on the way back machine for that one

Oh and would you like to help me change my solenoid too ?? You can barely see my pumps. Thanks Baja.

I would replace the one and keep a spare on hand. Funny thing with electrical you could replace the same one twice before the other goes bad.

I try and keep at least a spare for most relays, fuses, filters, fluids and spark plugs. That adds up when you have boats, jetskis, tractors, mowers etc, atv's and several road vehicles.

I chose the third option, because every vehicle I sell comes with a box of new spare parts... It's like a swag bag or "lovely parting gift". Plus I have a loft over my garage that looks stupid and feminine with just tiki torches and a Christmas tree in the corner.
