Nice progression,is that the one with the 275 Merc on it?Good luck with it,you will love it,they build a great boat.
|
Solid boat, Progression makes a quality product for sure.
|
Congrats!!!
Is that the one from Seaford? |
Thanks, I'm pretty excited. Ok, really excited. Yes, it's the one with the 275 on it, from the Seaford-ish area. The water out there was too glassy to really put the hull through its paces, so I brought it to the Great Lakes for some real rough water. :poopoo:

Very nice boat....What did you wind up paying for it?? I was wondering why he removed the listing..... did he still have the spare powerheads and gearcases for it??

There wasn't a whole lot of negotiation from asking price, but I paid to get what I wanted- outboard, bracket w/platform, k-planes, high deck, stand up bolsters, big sunpad, and the right color combo. It will be my last boat for a while (until I come to grips with $600/mo for a AT Savage down the road). I've been through 5 boats in 4 years trying to get the "right" boat for me, this is right for me now. I ended up with both powerheads, cowls, 2 mids and lowers. I kept imagining a 300xs on the back, but looking at all the hardware in my garage, it's hard to justify a repower right now.

at least u didnt buy this onehttp://i60.tinypic.com/110g9di.png

I think you're going to find that boat is right at home on the Great Lakes. It will absolutely eat 2' - 3's and when it gets even rougher, you'll be amazed what she'll do. I can't tell you how many bigger boats couldn't keep up with my little 22 Progression when it got rough. And 23 years after it left the factory, I still haven't managed to break it!

George- we saw mid 50's with 4 ppl and full fuel, but I haven't driven a pad bottom in a few years and didn't want to freak out the passengers. I didn't get back to MI until 3am yesterday, and as much as I wanted to run it and test props, the wife had other plans. http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/...pswouwzmnf.jpg |
i know that sucked/////////best of luck with your new ride
|
Cool looking boat !
Congrats |

http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w...801_160952.jpg George sorry to hear that your new boats transome was found to be soggy. However someone told me it was for sale my nephew is looking for a 27' Progression and Christmas is coming I figured I'd save you the hassle of getting it fixed and since you love Mercurys you could keep the motors tell you what I'll give you $9,000 cash and pick it up this week let me know if your interested...... |
