I can say without hesitation that if I had a boat in FL I'd be out there putting some time in on the water looking for these kids.

Problem is they are way way way offshore......off the coast of GA!

The boat was found 67 miles offshore.......my 32 Sunsation will a full tank of gas would struggle to get out to that point and back to shore without running out of fuel. 134 miles round trip is simply out and back, no type of search pattern or anything.

Yeah...I know. I was also 14 and out in my 14' Hardy Boys boat (that reference for sure dates me) on Long Island Sound doing 14 year old things like running out of gas, rowing to shore, pulling the cord on my 35hp to get a few revs on the prop to make headway and a million other things. It's not the ocean but it's not close to a lake either and it's dangerous out there. Even though it's futile, part of me is with those kids and I'd still give it a shot. Where there's hope, there's people who chip in.

What we would like to do is the following: For the next 12 months any and all profit of any safety related purchase from our website will be donated to the families of Austin and Perry.

International Marine will not make one penny from these sales. 100 percent of the profit will be donated. No admin fees and no hidden charges.

This is just one way we can bring awareness to safety and assist the families during this very troubling time. Please take a moment and review what equipment you have on you vessel that is needed for you and your family.

Unfortunately at this point a good outcome is in the miracle realm.

At this point, hopefully we will all learn from this and make sure we have all available resources for the type of boating we are doing, taking nothing for granted or becoming complacent. And if you have kids, make sure you treat every outing as a learning experience for them, because one day they might just have a crazy idea to do something not so smart, at least they might bring tools and knowledge they were taught.

This is a tragic event to say the very least.

According to facebook/the hull truth . com........some debris went past a Cape Hatteras, NC bouy and the bouy had taken pics of it. It looks like either a white cooler/ possibly life jackets/people or whitecaps. CG responded to the area.

When did you see that news? Ive been following and havent seen it. How old is that?

I really hope they were smart enough to be wearing jackets. I know the statistics are dwindling but a slim chance is better than no chance.
