Congrats on following through on your dream! I am living my dream but always wanted to build my own boat like you and maybe one day I will.
It is such a class act on your part to thank and acknowledge those that helped you. Great to hear some positive news about people and not just negative. |

Very nice!!! The boat looks great, and more importantly, great to see a young man such as yourself that is mature beyond his years. AND!!! great job of "throttling" the boat, you are not winging the blades, they are clear as day!!!! Blue Skies, Robbie

Boat came out great....I saw it while it was in primer at Rage many months ago(my Dad is the one who owns the OB powered 30 Rage, Black Duck).
This boat has a lot of history. It is the old "Breakaway" run by J.D. Delia back in the 80's. He ran the snot out of it and won a lot of races/championships. Any chances you will race it again in class 7? That's the rumor I heard months ago. |
I've got jackets and helmets reserved for Cory if he decides to race in Fall River Mass. in a couple of weeks.
Cory the boat looks GREAT!! I know you put ALOT of work/sweat equity into it, Congratulations on a boat well done! |
Yes that was and still is the plan to run class 7. Only the local races. Mainly because I don't have the $ to travel and I get more enjoyment running with my buddies than racing and breaking stuff. But she should be out for a couple races.

From what Mark and others have told me. And from what J.D. himself saw we do believe that this is the original 1981 "breakaway" boat that won all the championships. However the core was IMMACULATE in this boat and the original gel coat was red/black/ off white. Mark believes the boat was redone to the blue/ red scheme that J.d. had. But J.D. says it came from Coen already blue/red. So nobody really knows for sure. Haha
