Nice boating lakes in Michigan?

My home lake is lake St. Clair and I recently took a little vacation to Torch lake and we loved it. Is there any other nice lakes In Michigan to have a boating holiday on?

This!

Boyne at the east end, The Landing at Ironton in the middle (whenever the damn place finally reopens) and Charlevoix at the west end, with Lake Michigan and all it has to offer just outside the channel.

We're also doing Burt, mullet, to lake Huron, up to Mackinac city in a couple weeks. Nice lakes should be a good trip. Can always jet across to the island too.

Traverse City is the best with access to Lake Michigan through West and East Grand Traverse Bay. Cleanest and clearest water in the world, plenty of protection from the lake getring to big with room to stretch your legs, lots of destination ports, without feeling "trapped" on an inland lake.

I second burt mullet indian river. Did it many times. Stayed in the landings. Cabin with slip, launch, store and gas. Its rustic but nice.

I take my 22' Donzi on Lake St. Clair, Lake Huron, Lake Erie, Detroit River, St. Clair River all the time. You have to be careful on the big lakes but Put-in-Bay is my favorite destination. Cedar Point and Kelly's Island are right nearby PIB. I recently discovered some gems on Saginaw Bay. Tawas Bay and East Tawas are nice. Thunder Bay at Alpena is fun. Haven't been to Mackinaw Island yet but will someday. Some of the best boating is right near your home harbor! I love running the St. Clair River up into Lake Huron. There are lots of harbors and destinations. Endless destinations.....
