what are you running for wheels? I had 30p spinning @ just under 5000. I thought 30p was the highest pitch available for b3

Are you saying you can run an oiler upper with a non oiler lower?

What are the rules of mix and matching?

FWIW if someone can take an email from me I have a few pics of the factory class material from 2013 for which bravo will cross with each other plus a small script of the oil passages for the Bravo 1991 and up. You might have to blow up the pics I will be sending you to post up here so it can be readable. I will be around for another hour only but will be back tonight. Post your email if you want the pics to post. If no one wants to do this that's fine as well - less work for me.

I'll take the info BUP [email protected]

Originally have a 2.0 B3 on my cruiser (the brick). After repower, installed a B3 XR upper and B3 1:65 lower, it was a turd. Dropped the 1:65 lower and installed my original 2.0 lower. Boat now gets up and runs. It's my understanding that the Bravo upper are all the same, only exception is the hardening of the gears when referring to X and XR. Any bravo lower (B1, B2 and B3) will fit on the Bravo upper

Besides the top end speed, does the Bravo III out perform a Bravo 1 with acceleration, handling etc? I was looking at a heavy old 27 Magnum set up for a single Bravo and I was thinking a Bravo III for "all around" boating, NOT just top end. The Bravo III also handles better around docks and turning.
