I assume your out of the 28 and into this? Hows it run, and how are those 5 blades?

Just working out some set up issues that plagued the boat. Have a video in the Skater section of the first run. The boat runs good and will be fast for a 30. The props are 5 blade Dewalds.

Great thread, thanks for all the contributors!

If we had a vote, the Tuff 28 is my pick. Up to 30' is a great size, you can still trailer it and maintenance is not too bad. I think this segment of the market is the future of boats, the big stuff is just too expensive now and requires high end racing engines to make them move whereas this size will run with modest power or you can still power up if you want.

Love the lines on this Tuff, just lose that silly leaf and the Tuff 28 on the side and add a Mitcher T paint job and it'd be perfect. :lolhit:

Love it! That color combination just works beautifully for me. Will someone please buy my Fountain so I can order a Tuff with outboards?

Any performance numbers with the 400's?

Here are our boat's. 94 26' Profile, a 83 21' Daytona & a 77 Sanger bubble deck. And all have been ran in Salt, therefore can be on Offshore Only. :D

I want to know more about this one:

1. Price
2. Speed
3. Prop size and rpm @ WOT
4. Weight

That boat looks fantastic, I hav been saying now for years I like these Tuff boats. This 28' is sharp, I know it must be fast....Outstanding looking boat, with reliable o/b power. I like it.

I agree with you, it does give the appearance of a boat a lot longer than 28' in that photo. A Pitman Panther agreeing with a Clayton Clipper...
