I guess that the op new something back in August , but was told it was not true. I assume he brought the post back up to show he was right...

I knew joe was buying ol a while ago , (long before this thread) but was not my place to post it ..

Did Joe buy outerlimits.... 100% of outerlimits No. A percentage of outerlimits Yes. Is there another investor yes.

Thread was from August. At that point joe was not the owner. I didn't think it was my place to say otherwise.

He has a business partner who's been a long standing partner with mike. If someone from outerlimits wants to come on here and elaborate they can. Again I don't feel it's my place to name names. I wish them nothing but the best.

Not in August: "A longtime Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats customer and close friend of the late Mike Fiore—the Bristol, R.I., company’s founder—Joe Sgro has purchased the assets of the custom high-performance V-bottom and catamaran builder. The details of the deal, which closed earlier this week, were not released.

“We finally closed on the deal,” said Sgro. “I am the sole owner of the assets of Outerlimits and the new name of the company is 'Outerlimits of Rhode Island.' Michael left us with a lot of molds and a lot of ideas and we are working on a couple of projects I don’t want to talk about yet. Hopefully, we’ll be in full production in six months."

If you knew then why would you present it as a question in the general discussions forum? Why not of just start a thread with the fact that you knew he bought the company? And I can assure you as of August it was not joes company. And that will be all I have to say about this. Good luck to joe and the future of his company

Please stop with all the speculation, hear say, and 3rd party info. I seriously doubt that anyone here has the slightest clue of how Outerlimits was running before Mike's death or after. Speculating on profit, debt,and percentage of ownership is not for anyone to discuss. The point of the press release was to assure any current OL owners or potential OL purchasers that the company will continue with the financial backing of a man (Joe Sgro) that has the passion and experience in performance boating to build the company and inspire confidence that OL will continue to be on the forefront of performance boating.
